Thanks for the replies, everyone... I did a little research based on some
early responses.... I neglected to mention that I have a small,
newly-discovered leak in my expansion tank so need to replace that.
Discovered it was empty and noticed the drip when I refilled it. I then I
was reading about my symptoms perhaps being air in the system, which made
sense, as the tank was dry when I refilled it. So I figured I needed to
bleed the system. However, this afternoon I went out for a longer trip to
do some errands and it started generating heat again, so I am thinking that
the air must have worked it's way out.

Going to order a new tank to fix the leak issue.

Thx,

Dan D
