i’ve been on the list since the later 90’s.  in that time i have been through many vag products, the truely memorable ones being a 20v ur-q and an rs2.  since the first post (which i have archived around somewhere), a family has arrived and I have seemed to send far more time with power tools, wood and building than with a spanner.  with the audi in the garage, i don’t believe i have even taken the wheels off of it...

i took my eldest boy on a caving trip at the end of last summer where we had some good personal time. i asked him to write a “bucket list” of the things he would like to do before he was 21.  top of the list? buy a car with his dad and re-con it.  so, i am on the lookout for an old golf, perhaps a mk2 gti which i’ve had a fair bit of experience with.  funny though how events keep getting in the way of such a thing.  at times, we seem to get so busy with life, that we forget to live.  i know that the screen saver on his mac is an e2 rally car at full noise...
