List alive! And bose questions!

Happy the list is semi-back! This has been my go to place for lots of years
and did miss it for this bit.. Most of the other forums available are not
into old school and don't have the depth or maturity I've enjoyed on this
list over the years!

 

Anyway, my 200 20v still has the bose system which I've been trying to hold
on to. Last night I replaced the front right amp as it sometimes had a
squeal. Didn't bother me so much as I have some hearing loss, but when my
wife was occasionally in the car it was a issue. Have a longer trip this
weekend so replaced with an amp from a later Maxima or infinity.

 

Did notice my one rear speaker is somewhat muted. Assuming this one is on
it's way. These were the recall amps, but now getting pretty old! Is there
another vehicle that used the same amp?  Had gotten the info for front amps
off a vette forum when googling about. Will search once I get part numbers
off it, but one of the listers may already know!! I realize that caps can be
replaced, but sourcing a used on line is fairly east once I know what to
look for!

 

On a side note, an Audi pulled over yesterday at the shop and driver took a
few pictures of my car. Explained to the guy I work for how rare these are
and not so many nice ones are left! Use this for my longer trips, and she is
still a joy to drive!!
