Fuel line/acummulator issue

Had the same problem with my 1990 200TQA, ended up being the check valve @ the fuel pump.
Check fuel pressure, if you notice a drop, it’s common for the Turbos to need new injectors when the mileage and the age get
up there too. The Bentley IIRC had a really detailed section on checking pressure.

Subject: Fuel line/acummulator issue
My son sold his 89 200TQ Avant to his mother a while ago (my ex!) Tried to
discourage him due to the lifetime warranty when selling vehicles to family
members!
Vehicle started having a hot start (no start) issue. I told her to drop it
off figuring it was one of the crank sensors. Well, let it run for quite a
while after which it would restart no problem. Finally let it sit for an
hour and no start! Had spark so ruled out the sensors? Plugs were dry, so no
fuel
..
We had removed the accumulator due to rust/pinhole leak when he rehabbed the
vehicle! My son sort of cobbled a piece of fuel line over the nylon line
(rear) and the forward steel line. Of course now the nylon connection
portion is starting to leak
. Understand the need for the accumulator, but
this wouldnt be the first 44 Ive deleted it! Cranks a couple extra
revolutions to fire, but usually not a big deal.
So, to the question. Thinking the quick fix would be to cut the nylon hose
off the fuel pump banjo and run ¼ fuel injection hose (with FI clamps) from
the banjo bolt to the steel line. But, Im not certain if theres room to
run hose above the tank and down (without dropping tank)???
Thoughts, Any BTDT?
Thanks, Eric
