Chris,You should use the adjusting screw on top of the throttle body that stops the rotation of the throttle cam to adjust the point at which the rotation of the cam stops, just after you hear the click of the throttle switch when the throttle is fully closed. Loosen the little lock nut and adjust the screw as needed then re-tighten. I wouldn't recommend trying to do that by adjusting the mounting position of the TPS, which would be nearly impossible.

What's the process for adjusting the throttle position sensor on a '91 coupe?
The sensor rotates aound an axis until a click is heard. At what point before
or after the click is the sensor secured?
