Good bye A4

The A4 was on the original clutch and was due for a TB change in about 25k miles. Also
had a P/S leak.
Somewhat off topic, but it stirs a memory. Many years ago I had 1990 Mercury  Cougar with the factory supercharger. It developed a leak in the P/S hose. Working in average, home garage, conditions, it took 21 hours to replace the hose. The supercharger, plumbing, intercooler and much else had to come off. It was almost 7 hours of labor before I could actually even see the hose. On the other hand, I know of an instance where one burned valve in a MINI resulted in a $2500 charge.   Best of luck.
I'm going to look at an '86 CGT next week. Who knows?
