I stand corrected. I had been told that the S4/S6 was produced on a
different assembly line and manufactured with more welds to produce a more
ridgid body, at the cost of slightly more weight than the 100/200. But then
again, I must admit that the sources were not direct from AUDI, and could
very well have been flawed. Having driven both before, I did come away with
the opinion that the S6 had a better level of fit and finish for the inside,
but that too is opinion.
I appologize for the mistake, and will seek better references before writing
in a response next time.
BTW, I did get that Boost Gague from Neil down in Austin, and will be
posting details of my install for those interested. I have the blank for
the Auto Trans readout already carved up, and have a friend of my who does
CNC work taking off just enough of the protruding square of the blank to
adhere a thin layer of smoked acrylic that should match the look of the
stock CEL right next to it.
