I was looking at all possibilities, for that matter there is a MAP hose
inside the ECU but I have never heard of this one blowing off or breaking. I
am not sure if there was a reference to a noiseless environment.

Also are you sure if the hose is completely blown off (not leaking or torn)
and under the ECU cover that you can still hear it? (I have had a leak which
I could hear)

I doubt you will hear the one at the Watertrap (in the engine compartment)
under the plastic cover with all the connectors. Above the RPM connector (if
I remember correctly)
