[s-cars] OEM 1992 S4 Floor Mats...Rings or Quattro Logo?

The mat manufacturer's have changed and the only color offered now is black
for the "original style" mats.  The rings are slightly different as they are
stitched and not part of the carpet and the surrounds are threaded vs. the
nice canvas surround.  Okay, they're basically much cheaper made at the same
cost to the consumer...  but the only choise if you want "factory" mats.

I believe you can get the "Quattro" mat in the same style.  Just get the mat
for a '92 100S (non-Quattro).  Anyways, it's not that hard.  The dealer just
screwed up.  They can pull it up in EKTA and get your the right part.  Tell
them they are morons and they are plain lazy...  look up the right part or
you will take your buisiness elsewhere.

Hope that helps.  You may be buying ALL your parts on-line after that
however (which is not necessaraly a bad thing).

On another note... I just shelled out $100+ for the factory floor mats in
black for my S6 wagon (just did it for the S4 last year).  Anyways,  I too
was looking for a better alternative.  Best factory mats out there I like
are the ones out of a Volvo Cross Country.  Does anyone (Lee) know who makes
these or could find out (Lee?)?

I'm wondering if they will make custom mats to my specification.  Anyone
else out there interested???

I was also going to buy the custom rear hatch mat from Griot's, but opted
for thier $16.95 waterproof plaid cargo blanket instead!
