With the recent talk of boost gauges, I thought I'd call Hubie from SPI to
see if he could be convinced to do a small custom run for us.
SPI gauges are top quality, backlit it red, and a very good match for our
OEM stuff.  A couple of years ago, he made a custom bezel-less gauge for me
to mount in dash -- pictures are on Jimmy's site.   SPI is also Apexi's East
Coast rep office and a stocking warehouse for Japanese performance cars.
Anyway, while he was working on my gauge, and trying to get my since
abandoned) Apexi boost controller tuned, he offered me a ride in his turbo
Supra.  Before the ride, I thought these Supra's were about the ugliest cars
I'd ever seen.    The ride I took changed that opinion on a hurry!   Holy
shit, Batman, Hang on!!!!!!!!!  A really scary fast machine.  Did I mention
how much I love these cars!!!!!!!!!! Wow, did it get better looking after
the ride..  While I went to his website to find his new phone number, I
found an article on the car.

I finally reached him and retooling production is still several months away
-- earliest, and he is doing so well with his Defi imported line that he
seems reluctant to retool and compete.
