Lets pretend you've never changed a brake pad in your life and now you've got
some reallly cool 993 tt calipers and rotors to install. That's me. I've
got the ECS kit so I'm pretty darn sure I have correct brackets and hats.
I could use a little step by step BTDT help..
i.e.
Put car on jack stands. Remove wheels.
Drain hydraulic fluid ?
Remove old calipers and rotors.
Install new rotors.
Install new caliper bracket.
Suspend/hang caliper from ...spring via strong coat hangar? while installing
pads?
Attach hydraulic lines now?
Cut oem wear sensor wires and splice on and solder porsche sensors and seal
w/heat shrink?
Install new pads into new calipers.
Install new caliper onto the new caliper bracket.
Dump a qt. ATE super blue into Movit pressure bleeder and pump to say 10 psi?
Bleed - RR LR RF LF
These calipers have two bleed valves. Do I bleed both? Any order?
Also these valves are on the top of the rotor. I think this is correct but
is it?
Should I pump the brake/clutch at all?
Do I have to bleed from the clutch slave cylinder too and if so when?
Brake in according to bira instructions.
Also; should i use any locktight or anti seize anywhere?
Whats the easiest way to open / close the 993tt caliper?
Woe.. more questions than I thought.
Sorry for the basic questions, but it sure helps to go into something like
this with at least a bit of a plan more than I have sketched here.
And, as usual, thanks in advance for your help and helping me spend some
dough too:) Told the wife yep this is the final big upgrade ha except for
that 6 speed. (yikes thats alot of shoes!)
Cheers'
