[s-cars] Weird Vibrations

Yesterday was downpour city in Chgo. and I have always notice when
driving in the rain (or snow for that matter,) that under medium to hard
acceleration, that the car acquires this weird vibration from
underneath.  It almost sounds like perhaps the water is vaporizing off
of the Stromung, though I doubt thats it.  Or maybe just succking more
moisture into the engine causes knocking.
On dry days, car runs perfectO!
Any thoughts on causes?
BTW speaking of thongs, I had come across these Hapersized thongs,
