Mark,

    The only benefit to tightening the wastegate screw is better part
throttle boost and a smoother transition to full boost. Once your foot is to
the floor the ECU is controling the wastegate. It did make a difference on my
car. The car feels much snappier just getting around town under light
throttle. It actually lost some of the "kick" when the boost comes on though
as it is starting from a higher baseline. I imagine the chip supplier
recommended this to get rid of some of the on/off characteristic of the
modded chip.
