I've been following the DSM guys (Mitsu/Eagle nomenclature) water-injection
(WI) list, and 23 psi w/ 22 degrees advance and 12 sec 1/4's are the norm on
WI with these guys. Unbelievable. If the car wasn't seriously modified
(different motor, etc), he was almost certainly running WI (and possibly
NOS). As kids we had an old (like 1965) dodge dart, 15 inch slicks (we cut
the trunk sheet metal), and a 440 magnum (yanked from a smashed police car),
added a mondo dual carb (double pumpers) tunnel ram and matching cam
(borrowed from some guys Dad), and we never even got into the 12's (altho'
the girls loved the wheelies we pulled in the HS parking lot. Police didn't
tho')
I'm going to try WI in the next few months, I will post up results on the
Q-List. I can post up here if any of you show interest.
I also have some preliminary schematics and preliminary parts list in .jpg
and excel formats if anyone is interested. Also welcome to discuss as
well...
