[s-cars] Trunk lock malfunction

Hello,

The train arrived with my 1993 S4 yesterday and I
am familiarizing myself with the car. I have been
driving Audis for the past five years and I know
how the bypass for the trunk lock is designed. On
the newly acquired S4 even with the lock in the
horizontal position I cannot open the trunk lid.
Turning the key momentarily in either door will
correctly open the individual door and holding the
key in the "open" position will result in all the
door locks popping up to the "open" position.
However, the trunk lid remains locked. Indeed, I
can insert the key in the lock but cannot rotate
the mechanism. Currently, the only means of
accessing the trunk are via the switch in the
glove box. Anyone BTDT?

Otherwise, the car is brilliant! We are looking
forward to our drive on the Icefields Parkway
(#93) to Jasper this weekend.
