Although I agree with you all, I have also heard of failures with the Forge
and Bailey units, too.
My 92 is MTM 1+ currently.  I'm running the Audi TT BPV, which was only 30
bucks and hasn't failed yet.  (My VW parts guy looked at me kinda funny when
I bought it, but that's the least of my problems.)

Check the archives, there was a lot of discussion about this a few months
ago.

I don't think its worth the time or effort to try to epoxy back together
inferior stock plastic pieces.  A good Forge or Bailey Valve cost about $130
(or less on ebay), they are indestructable and pressure or heat are never a
concern (unlike the plastic valves).  I've run a Forge for over a year with
nary a quibble...
