[s-cars] stuck glovebox

My 93 has a loose lock cylinder in the plastic handle.  Sometimes if you slam the glovebox shut, the lock cylinder will pop out a little bit, and then regardless of how you turn the key, the glovebox won't open...  Try pushing on the metal lock cylinder really hard...

I seem to have somehow jammed the glovebox shut on my 95.5 S6 Avant.

Okay, you can stop chuckling now. :)

Does anyone know how to take it apart and get it open? I'm positive that
it is not just simply locked, because the lock mechanism seems to be
working (key will turn in the hole, I feel something rotating/moving).

Any help at all would be greatly appreciated, as my registration is in
there, and I'd hate to have to explain to the officer why I can't give
it to him/her in the event that I get pulled over! :)
