The quattro club site has some, but they are a joke as far as providing
professional results. Look at <www.langka.com> for a do it yourself chip
repair. I did 4 chips on my wife's car with pretty good results using
factory brush on matching paint. I can't find any pearl white touch-up for
mine. The langka guy is a principal in <www.i-mac.com>, a franchise chip
repair operation. (the web site is just a slick franchise sales site, but
the technical part will tell you what chip repair is.
At the 2001 Nationals last August, there was a chip repair guy in a
mobile van doing a black S-6 (K.C. car?) outside Autosport Werks in
Broomfield during the Dyno sessions. This was in preparation for a clear
bra installation (3M Scotchcal paint protection film). I was sold on the
process right there, it was that good! $75/hr for est. 2 hr job. But I
didn't need any then. I visited the Grand Canyon after the meet. Now I do.
The event organizers know the guy. Can any of the CO Mafia provide
information on this guy?
