Thanks for the reply Chad!
Actually I'm suprised no more than you replied, since last year I posted a report of the dyno session at MTM with my car ,all "hell broke loose" and there was several guys on the list with solid opinions both on dragracing times and wheel HP versus flywheel HP.Maybee they will wake up again ?
Anyway this was the Norwegian Car Sport assosiations attempt to introduce the sport on my side of the country. The track was brand new with regular asfalt close to a military camp, but with all the technical stuff on place. As the day went on the traction got better and the clutches weaker and weaker.
I ran head to head with a Cyclone(350HP), a Ford Coswort Sierra(450 HP) which was the winner, a Lingenfelter Corvette twin turbo which had traction problems but was extremely strong in the end doing more than 10 mph above our typical 88-90 mph, but all of us around 8,1 to 8,2 sec ET on the 1/8mile. The Sierra had the previous weekend been doing 12,1 to 12,2 sec/120 MPH on another 1/4 mile track close to Oslo(our capital city) so your gessing on my results would give me a good indication.
I think the cheapest and simplest way to improve the ET would be a small NOS fogger system directly ahead of the throttle body on our cars, eliminating the turbo-lag which in my car was alot.
