Hi all -

I'm having an issue which just appeared out of the blue last night...  Whil=
e driving home, my engine suddenly started to miss and power went away (alm=
ost 40%).  The engine now gives a repeated bumble bumle bumble and the whol=
e car shakes a bit violently.  Sadly, I'm hoping to sell the car this weeke=
nd, and am a little frustrated that the car has to do this to me at the las=
t minute =3D)  Any suggestions on what might cause this?

The turbo sounds fine, but the engine sure is making a lot of vibration (wh=
ich goes away for awhile if the car sits, and then comes back unexpectedly =
after a short drive, along with the reduction in power).  I do notice that =
the engine compartment is more hot than usual, and there is more of a heat =
smell from the compartment.  The bumble bumble is pretty consistent at idle=
, and continues up the power curve (even though power is really reduced).

Another thing I notice is that when I turn on the ignition, I don't hear th=
e normal sounds that the engine makes when preparing to start.  (and I have=
 no clue what that buzzing noise should be doing).  When I turn the key on =
halfway, the car is dead silent - nothing except for the dash vents.

Any suggestions would be extremely helpful.
