The Audi Gods have been shining on me lately.......
Saturday.....Paul's S-fest.
Sun- Tues........Q-club at Watkins Glen. Just got back and have a ton of
email to catch up on.

First:

A HUGE thanks to Paul for organizing this marvelous day. I had a really,
really, great time, as I think did all listers who attended. It was great
putting faces to names, but their simply wasn't enough time to talk to
everyone I wanted to. My wife, who could care less about cars, had a
great time and she really enjoyed meeting my "virtual" friends. I think
along with Igor and Tom's wife, she began to form a support group for s-car
widows. My two (7 & 11 year old) sons, both professed "BMW Lovers", were
in heaven when they got rides in a pair of beautiful new M3's, arguing which
was better, Platinum or Blue. I thought the highlight for me was going to
be tearing around a blind sweeping corner at close to 100MPH in a tuning
session with Brian W, hitting the apex in his s6 in the wet----- then seeing
my Avant come barrelling around the corner at the same speed from the
opposite direction! Pizzo, was that you?

A short while later, I was treated to a truly magical moment: There are no
words to describe the look on my 11-year old Stephen's face after he got
back from a triple digit ride in the F355 Spider......he was the passenger
during the 4K clutch drop up the street.........he's still on cloud nine,
and on Sunday morning suddenly insisted on attending the Q-club event at the
Glen with me. Another generation of Auto Addict is born!

It was truly a perfect day, and I only wish I could have spent more time
with everyone - it all went so fast!

Thanks a million, Paul!

Bob
