I think you are correct!
I found a reference to the numbers on a German Website, and indeed the
springs I have look like they are spec'd for a type 44.   Part number 29554
or 29616.

The H&Rs in my 91 200 were red, part number ? but that
is easy to find online.   The other numbers on yours I
can't identify but I think on my V8 springs there are
numbers besides the 29921 or whatever the part number
is.

So who has the older true S4/6 H&Rs (not the V8 set)
in his car.

I'm doing a H&R/Bilstein/ECS plate (he drove mine with
the same parts) install in a customers' car tomorrow
so I'll see what other numbers are on the springs for
kicks.

BTW despite looking pregnant in the photo Rick took of
me at S-fest last week I'm just retaining water. My
guess anyway.
