[s-cars] Flame wars... the final outcome

All,
I'll make one comment and then move on to my latest
mechanical failure.
I have learned more from this list in the past year
about my car (and cars in general) than I have from
all my limited experience 21 years prior. It is a
great resource, as a lot of listers have been
tinkering with cars for longer than I've been around.
If I were to name everyone here that has helped me out
with one problem or another, I am sure I would miss at
least a dozen, so I'm not even going to attempt to.
The generosity of the guys on list really comes in
handy and I don't think that Audiworld or any other
forum based system even comes CLOSE. I have
personally lent stuff to other listers and have items
on loan from others at the moment. This is indicative
of the more personal nature of the e-mail list as
opposed to forums, which attract more "trolls."
A downside to this is that some people may construe
certain comments or suggestions as personal attacks.
I did this on one occasion and apologize to the list
for the way that I acted. There is no greater tool
than you guys. ETKA, Bentley and (Yes, Scott) even
properly calibrated torque wrenches included. I may
offend some people from time to time, but I mean
nothing by it. I thank you all for putting up with us
more inexperienced guys as I've learned copious
amounts from those of you that have been around the
track once or twice. Hell, I probably would have sold
this car by now if it wasn't for this list. Thank
you.
