Sandy,

It sounds like a nice car, and if the description is accurate, and you can
verify records, it seems like a reasonable deal. I'd haggle a little, but
you're not too far off already at $13.5K. I'd also look for signs of paint
or bodywork.

These cars are all about proper maintenance, so check the records carefully,
and even call an Audi dealer with the VIN# to see service history and recall
info. If you email me the VIN#, I can run a carfax for you to see if there
are any problems with mileage or title.

They can be expensive to maintain, though, and are not Japanese in their
reliability. But the performance (and performance potential with some
well-chosen modifications), all weather capability, roadfeel, and roominess
make it worth keeping them running well.

If you consider an extended warranty, let me know and I can help.

Good luck!

Bruce

Hey, Im brand new to the list. The main reason I
signed up was to get the lists opinion of the
following car. Maybe some of you might be familiar
with it? Shot in the dark. Who knows. I might buy it.

Anyway, I know there is a Buyer's Guide on the s-cars
website but I would like to get some real time
feedback from you all as to what i should be looking
out for.

here's the car:

http://www.autotrader.com/findacar/vdetail.jtmpl?car_id=114730871&dealer_id=
&make=AUDI&distance=50&max_price=&model=S4&end_year=2003&advcd_on=n&min_pric
e=&address=22202&search_type=used&advanced=n&start_year=1982&color=&car_year
=1993

The seller says that he's had some people back out on
him. Other than that, there's nothing wrong with it.
Any thoughts?

Thanks

Sandy
