Great Post...Thanks!
Multiple 5000 RPM launches? Lee Harvey! You are a madman! When you stole
that cow? And your friend tried to make it with the cow? I wanna party with
you.
I had more than one of my employees walk into my office while
watching/listening to your footage with the audio turned way up.
Nice!
13.925. Damn. When I grow some hair on my pair, I'll join you for a day at
the strip.

I was afraid to post the results from our trip to Clay City, KY 1/4 mile
dragstrip over the past few days because with the tar/featherin' that took
place I thought the post would get lost in the shuffle. First off, I have
to completely DISMISS any G-Tech claims I made in the past. Although I
still feel it may be fairly consistent, it is (was) 2.5920873 % optimistic
when compared to an actual 1/4 mile run. Anyone interested can check out
the following link: http://www.outdoorextremes.com/toppage1.htm I was
surprised to see stock LT1 Z-28s running low 14's @ 95-96, stock WRX's
running low 14's @ 92-93, I ran a best of 13.925 @ 96+ and if I had more
than 3 runs I would've figured out better shift points to raise the trap
speed. I couldn't believe how hard it was to hook up at the track: 2wd
cars need the extra traction at the line, but our cars HATE it! My car runs
much better on a cold street with no rubber build-up, able to spin at the
launch to keep revs up and lessen driveline trauma. I got the pleasure of
talking to a guy from Lexington that owns a shop and ran a 1983 UrQuattro
with a claimed 600 hp and time of 11.22 @128. Complete ground up restoration
was beautiful. He seemed to really know VW/Audi's yet wasn't too cocky. He
is already trying to point me in a direction other than RS2 come spring (my
wife already hates this guy!). Sorry for the long download time for the
site, dial-up guys will take a while. The way my car ran at the track, I
wasn't really happy with the time or especially speed but on that day
amongst some really big power, that was about all she had. I could maybe
drop some time/add some mph but it would take some more runs to figure out
lower shift points. To recap, all I've done to my 95 S6 is an MTM stage 1+
and a hi-flow custom (local) exhaust. To all you guys that told me to stuff
the G-Tech, consider it stuffed. But to those who are happy to accept low
to mid 14's for a modded S4/6, don't sell your car short--they can go to the
track and not be too embarrassed.
