but then again, you live in CA as in Canada, not California. That alone
pretty much rules out a non-quattro.

Ah, Bill, congrats on the move to Canada.  And here I thought you enjoyed
living in Chicago... 8-).  My $0.0002?  Go out and buy her a used 1.8t in
the teens, and take the $20+k saved and "invest" it in some more fun
upgrades for some Tornado Red Avant I know of...

...and then not get any action for a LONG time...  but would it matter?
