Hi Ellijah:

I got copied on your post to the S-List about your install. I was told by K=
luge that all bellhousings are the same, but I see that there are subtle di=
fferences. I personally think that running the trans with only one dowel is=
 a bad idea. Think about what those dowels actually do!

They stop the trans from rotating. There is play between the bolts and the =
bolt holes so that the trans can rotate a tiny amount if the bolts aren't t=
ightened up. Over time with repeated heating and cooling, the bolts may loo=
sen enough to allow the trans to rotate a minute amount.

Audi put those dowels there for a reason...
