Paul's pedal feels the best because his Bomb is obviously shot. Nice, rock
hard pedal.

Where's my damn wrench?

Subject: Re: [s-cars] Brake bleed order

One good reason for bleeding the clutch first might have to do with the met=
hod recommended in the Bentley. (I'm not sure what the Haynes says). The Be=
ntley says to connect a pressure bleeder to the clutch slave bleeder and pu=
mp fluid through the system backwards. I imagine this could put air into th=
e brake master so if you did this procedure (back bleeding the clutch) last=
you could introduce air that would then become trapped in the brake system=
. If I were replacing the rear lines and flushing the system I would do the=
brakes first to work the air out of the system and then flush out the clut=
ch hydraulics by allowing the pressure bleeder to force all of the old flui=
d out. I don't have a technical reference that says this is correct though.=
Just what I would do in that particular situation.

OK, this begs the question... what if I bled my brakes withOUT doing the
clutch, at all. And my pedal feel is the BEST, hands down, of any S car
I've yet driven? Am I just that lucky?

Had to ask...

-Paulie not one to typically do things the right way K.
CT
'95 //S6 with improperly bled but great feeling / working brakes for 10k
now.

P.S. OK, it was Rossato that did the bleeding, I did the pedal pumping...
