Keith,
Not only is the hole in the DSY not the right size but it is not made for
a dowel at all. There are four holes in the DSY for dowels and only one of
them line up and the other three land in places where there is not enough
metal to drill out the block to line one of them up. Also, not only is the
dowel to big but it is offset in the hole on the Five speed trans so even if
you machined the dowel down there is not enough material in the bell housing
to drill the offset in the existing hole. The only thing that I can think to
do is find a spot on the bell housing that is thick and lines up with a place
on the block that is thick and port a completely new hole for a dowel. Thanks
for any help,
Elijah
