[s-cars] Brake Warning Light

You are on the right track. Let me know where you find a 150+ bar
pressure gauge. I don't believe the check valve is independently
servicable, but you might try this. Pump down the accumulator with the
engine off using the brake pedal. Holding the brake pedal down, start
the engine. Sometimes the pulsations that result can move particles
around and help.

Observe how quickly your new Pentosyn gets dirty. You may have to
replace the high pressure hose as they have a tendency to deteriorate
internally.

Start the car and the warning light remains on for approximately 30 seconds then goes out. When it goes out, if I rapidly pump the brake pedal it will come back on. Also when at low engine RPM the steering can be heavy at times such as full steering angles during parking maneuvers. Does this indicate not enough system pressure, or flow, to give adequate power steering? I have noticed a too high Pentosin level after it sits for an hour so I know it is either the servo or check valve leaking. Do I also have a bad pump? I will check the servo in the morning as well as the accumulator check valve and the banjo's with screens. I will get a gauge so I can check system pressure as well. I have drained/replaced (but not flushed) the Pentosin in all of these cars. I also cleaned the reservoir, and reservoir screen. All of these cars have between
