[s-cars] Stumbling at low rpm

It sounds right to me. Wipe the soldered place with alcohol and it will make less
chances for oxidation then any crimp, probably even gold plated because wre can
corrode as well. Electro-chemical corrosion will be in any crimp made of different
material then wire, in large or smaller scale. What has better corrosion
properties than tin? Don't mention gold and other similar metals.
About military: I think they stick with crimps because avarage person in avarage
conditions (or extreme) will do more reliable connection with crimp then with
solder. Plus, providing availability of soldering equipment in any situation is
not simple task.
