Ed,

Probably being the only person in the world to prefer Walnut over Carbon Fiber, I swapped out the CF trim in my 93 S4 for some Walnut trim (originally from Igor's 97 S6) earlier this year.

It took me about 4 hours to do all four doors and all the front dash panels. Most people could probably do it a bit quicker, I tend to work slowly and am a clutz, and this job is best done by a contortionist with small and nimble hands. (especially the passenger-side dashboard trim).

So doing it on 2 cars simultaneously with the immediate benefits of the learning curve, probably 6 or less hours to swap trim from one car to the other.

In my mind, time well spent. One of the first things I noticed the other day when I climbed in the car after being separated from it for 5+ months was how damn good that walnut trim looks. (really warms up my otherwise all-black interior, I found the CF to be rather cold and dull)

On the task list this weekend is the cowl drain snaking to cure the wet-driver-foot syndrome.. (and Euro light install! woohoo )

Cheers, and Merry Christmas to all,

Keith "boostin for a week" Maddock

Billiam,
Now, I just
have to figure out how long it will take (ie. is it worth it) to swap the
Carbon Fiber into the Avant. Looks to be a PITA du jour.

Ed
