Regarding that pic, the engine, and the car that it's in:

Does that appear to be not the original engine, if that is an ur-q? The valve
cover appears to be one with direct ignition. Were the 20vt ur-q's fitted with
AAN/ADU/ABY style direct ignition, or were they fitted with physical ignition
distributors like a 3B?

I would like to know if there were any ur-q's with 20vt with direct ignition from
the factory. I'm trying to determine if that manifold would fit on a car with a
distributor. It is said to fit an S2/RS2 and ur-q 20vt. I know the first two are
direct ignition, but I though the RR/ur-q 20vt had a distributor.

If that's true, and that pic is an ur-q (how can you tell? it looks like the core
support has a bend in it, and I thought the Type 85's are fairly straight), then
perhaps it has either been converted to direct ignition with the other valve
cover, or the whole motor has been swapped to that style.

Does that makes sense?

Thanks,

Ken
