[s-cars] 93 S4 - Red paint problems

The metallic colors should be clearcoated. I bet you're seeing the all
too common
"Audi Clearcoat Cracking" that has been a problem for years.

The cracking problem is not fixable short of repainting. As for the red
car problem,
sounds also like you need a repaint. Audi's red paint doesn't seem to
hold up too
well, esp. when the car is outside all the time.
