Many cars take the power steering line (metal) and put a long loop (2.5' or
so) into the airflow as a simple heat exchanger. Probably fairly simple to
implement. Wouldn't try an oil cooler, as I'm not sure how much additional
resistance the flow the system can take (assume you'd cool the return to the
pump from the reservoir).

I've never been to an event where at least one new A4
or New S4 didn't do the same thing. Absolutely cook
the rack and pump to death.
I didn't know the urS4s could do it too. My 91 200
never did. I don't know why any do except the heat
build up is huge and no real cooler exists.
Wouldn't it be neat to refit our stock oil coolers as
steering coolers and then upgrade the OE cooler to
something "real"?
