The shop I go to uses a wire twister for the really small tubing. The
spinning wire twister / locking safety wire pliers (not an absolute
necessity to doing as safety wire install, but nice) can be a pretty handy
tool to have on occasion. Not sure where the best source for one is ~ I
think the Spruce Aviation catalog carries the tools for safety wiring on nut
etc. that you absolutely want to be sure can't work themselves off & I think
I may have seen a kit in the Sears tool department at one time.
If you go the safety wire route, caution is advised against using too much
pressure.
A 2nd alternative are the small squeeze type pressure clamps. I know Lowes
carries a selection of these in its gas fittings department and I think a
good NAPA store will have them as well.
One suggestion for your pressure line, especially if you are going to use a
pillar mount, is to "T" off the line in the engine compartment, either where
it leave the intake manifold, or, in my opinion preferably under the coil
pack cover as it runs across the back of the fire wall to cross to the
passenger side where it then runs down into the right hand side of the cabin
to the ecu in the passenger foot well. Then, run your pressure tube left,
through the fuse box in the engine compartment over the drivers footwell,
down into the drivers footwell (there's a big opening / access to the cabin
where the wiring loom goes into the cabin.
Much easier access IMO, especially if it does pop off (you won't need to
pull up the passenger footwell carpet etc.), and a shorter, more direct run
to boot ~ of course YMMV, others experiences & preferences on this may. You
can do you hunting for a suitable wire lead to tap into in the fuse box as
well ~ ? a much easier & cleaner choice than cutting and splicing into
existing wire under the dash, yes?

~I'm in the process of running the 1/8" tubing from a 'T' off the stock
~pressure tube at the ECU. Would someone who's BTDT care to comment on the
~need for a clamp of some sort at these tubing connections? They are not
~that easy to get to and I don't want them to be blowing off when
~I'm at max.
~boost. If they do need a clamp, what have people used that works?
~
~Also, I am planning to tap into power from the driver's footwell area. I
~need a switched 12v and a ground. Any guidance will be appreciated. TIA
