Yet another "I love this list!" experience-
ENORMOUS thanks to Joe Pizzimenti for lending me his nearly new spare OE
Mman hose (bet I can still manage to blow it pre-Samco...). Now, he didn't
just lend it to me. He freakin DROVE it to me Wed. night, from White
Freakin' Plains NY, to freakin' northeastern CT. At TEN freakin' THIRTY!
It just doesn't get much better than that!
Upon hearing there would be a 'gathering' of anything more than his S car,
Bob R. just couldn't resist driving across the river and joining us for the
late evening interlude. Great opportunity to compare and contrast three
similar but different 95s. Back to back backroad rips in eachother's car
proved a few things.
Stromung & Stebro sound identical at idle, idle rev, and light cruising (in
and out of car), but driving behind the Stromung is considerably louder.
IA 3 bar and MTM 3 bar feel remarkably similar, maybe just a tad earlier
torque feel mit IA and a tad more top end power mit MTM was the general
conclusion...
H&R / Bilstein and Eibach / Bilstein are again similar but different. H&R a
tad stiffer, but more prone to undulation... Eibach more prone to bounce
after rebound. Rear ride heights about identical, H&R maybe 1/4" lower in
front...
Joe is sorely in need of replacing his suspension @ 101k, good thing it's en
route! Bouncy bouncy bounce :o)...
Beer (after test drives), 2+ a.m., a couch in the garage, and a smoking bug
zapper provide an surprising amount of twisted sadistic entertainment to 5
fellow car idiots. Sad...
OK, you had to be there for that last one. Anyway, thanks again Joe for
your efforts, great to get together with you and Bob and your 2 buds for
some late night silliness. Hope the ride home went well.
God I love this list. Though I think my wife probably wishes I bought an
Accord, no LISTERS there!
