S&M BABY.

Yeah baby yeah... you know what I'm talking about... that's right...

...//S6 vs. neu ///M3 of course...

What the &%$#@ else did you think, you sickos?

For those interested, my friend's neu ///M3 has finally reached it's break
in point, about 3k so far.. guess he didn't feel compelled to join the ranks
of those with toasted motors. So, he and I commute home in the evenings at
about the same time, only with him entering 84 a few exits closer to home
than I. So, being the completely mature adults we are, we sometimes try to
coordinate my passing by his entrance ramp with his entering traffic (isn't
that what cell phone technology is for???). Yes, we're pathetically
juvenile idiots. But we all knew that already. Realistically, there is
simply too much traffic to have any real fun, which is good, as it helps
keep us out of jail.

Last evening was such an occurrence. As traffic broke as we approached "the
sticks" where we reside, we had the chance for some side by side
downshifting carpet mashing exploits. Verdict?

I was amazed. We sat side by side, each in 4th @ light throttle. Gave the
nod and off we went. Funny how speed is a relative function. Meaning, it
felt like I had the ebrake on, as we were DEAD NUTS EVEN right to redline,
where we had to safely decelerate of some congestion ahead. And when I say
even, I mean like I was in my seat, rocking forward and back, trying to
'inch' ahead, funny how there is no sensation of speed if you're not being
beat or beating someone. It was pretty funny that the cars were that evenly
matched. We then took turns trailing e/o, and doing some light 'sewing'
through the now open traffic (no street racing, thank you).

After we exited (of course, like 2 exits beyond where we live, sad), we had
the chance to do WOT burns 1st through 3rd. Again, he wasn't up my
tailpipe, and I wasn't pulling (though watching him BANG 2nd in my mirror
and seeing the tail wag is pretty darn cool). We stopped and traded notes,
and each conceded that we were giving it our best and that it was a dead
draw in all aspects.

Why no means scientific, it was a great opportunity to 'confirm' our cars
against each others, meaning that since we know e/o, we could stop and
discuss the circumstances rather than beat some stranger on the highway and
have someone say "oh, that was driver error".

S&M. Gotta love it.
