Follow the (high pressure) hose that leaves the hydraulic pump towards
the rear and dives down toward the ground. It has a foam covering. At
the other end is the bomb.

Test the bomb by running the car, shutting down, and counting brake
pressings until the pedal loses its power brake feeling. 30 - 40 good,
20 - 30 tolerable, 20 - 10 marginal, 10-none panic.

The causes for brake light actuation (that I can remember) are: low
hydraulic pressure (check pump, filter in reservoir (clean with brake
clean away from car paint), filters in bolts at ends of high pressure
line, filter in middle of high pressure line (not easily cleaned)), low
brake fluid, low hydraulic fluid (may need to keep it above the high
fill line), parking brake switch. If your filter is especially dirty,
and the fluid looks dirty, your high pressure hose is likely
deteriorating inside, and a new or rebuilt unit should be obtained when
you can't stand to clean the filter at the rate needed.
