[s-cars] Speaking of Timing Belts

Hi,

I thought it was more around 25000 km but I am not 100% sure.
And the price is about 6 times more than an S6 Plus (V8).

Lamborghini is about 8 times more. The Audi dealer which take car of my car
is now a Lamborghini dealer as well. I heard from the mecanic chief some
scary stories about Lamborghini reliability (if such thing exists !!!), like
the Diablo SV is the first Lambo you could drive 5000 km without major
problems. Also when the Audi Quality People went for the first time at the
factory at Santa Agata, they were pretty much ready to kill themselves,
specially with the SuperDiablo prototype.

Regards,
Frederic

*******
Timing belts on Ferraris in Europe have to be changed even more frequently
than in NA. I have heard 8,000km. and 12,000km. Take your pick. I wonder if
the newer ones are similar.
It makes Audis by the book 140,000km. look pretty good.

Why is it that with a very similar engine to earlier models, the S4/6 has a
higher mileage point to change the timing belts? I've been recommended to
change mine very shortly after hitting 100,000 km (62,500 mi).
