Awfully quiet day of s-car email...

...so, STUPID question:

I'm in the habit of turning off my heater fan prior to shutting the car off,
every time.  Now, upon start up, the fan will intermittently be in some
degree of "on", either 1 or 2 'bars' on the LED; other times it is OFF like
I'd left it.

WHY the F does it do this?  Does it 'mean' something?  Anything to be done
about it?

Curious, more than anything...  plus, it's TOO QUIET today!
