Matt,
I've been looking into this recently because my brother has the same problem
with his 93 s4. The Bentley manual shows fuse S42 in position 8 (rear
center) of the auxillary relay panel II. This is the relay panel located
behind the side trim below the hood release handle in the drivers side
footwell. I hope to find a blown fuse when I see my brother and take a look
later this week.
regards,
Bob

Hi Guys !
I'm a newbie from Paris, France and own a '96 RS2 and a '94 S4 (my daily
driver). I have a problem with the S4 : the a/c kicks in and out as the
secondary electric cooling fan that is running when the a/c is on is not
working. A/C relay is ok (n°217 in the relay box under the hood), fuses in
the fuse box on the side of the dash are ok, a/c compressor kicks in and
produces cold allright when the car is moving but it will let the car
overheat in traffic because this &"éé''é" fan is not running. The high
pressure switch kicks in when it has to, disengaging the compressor when it
gets too hot in there. The only thing I haven't done so far is sending 12v
straight into the fan but this involves removing the front bumper, which is
not easy... Any idea ?
Thanks,
Matt
