Need opinions,
So I'm talking to Doug Grey about HID lighting now that fall is approaching=
and winter decends soon. We're talking about the A6 HID's path other desci=
rbed a few weeks ago by Bob and Igor (I think?)
Then I recall this email from Michael Schneider March 2001, where he wrote =
to me about the Audi HID lights that were optional for the 1995-1997 S6. He=
gave these part numbers below having purchased from a dealer in Germany.
So a reasonable man would ask this list for more input on this path. For th=
e Audi-fanatic seeking a true OEM HID path, has anyone knowledge about the=
se P/N's and method?
I think, this Deutsche HID assembly even came equipped with self-leveling s=
tepper motors etc.
I go on to think, is it possible to use this on an 1992-1994 S4, by swappin=
g the clear lense from S6 to S4 Euro, to change the shape outside.
Opinions please.

Jeff,
The S-6 1996 Euro HID headlight assemblies numbers are:

4AO 941 003 BE and
4AO 941 004

The assemblies include the blinker lens; Clear type.

Jeff Posto,
Are the headlights the same for the S6 and the S4 ? Close enough yeah,
however specifically different possibly. Wasn't there a face lift in 1995
to these cars ? Anyway .. The HID's were a option to the A6 / S6 cars in
Germany beginning in 1995 is my understanding.
On Friday night I'll be returning from a business trip and will gladly
forward the part numbers. I bought the HID assemblies from a Audi dealer in
Wiesbaden, Germany while in country having walked in off the street and
ordered the assemblies. Read, paid retail !!

Mike
