Yeah, OEM HID's are probably great.  But at those prices, the $550 HID
upgrade that I'm using is even better.  It's the 9006 bulb conversion
that works in your stock USA low beam lights.

The last time I mentioned this, the conversation slid sideways with
one person (who had never seen them) deluging us with detail about
why any conversion would blind oncoming drivers, and another person
thinking this kit should be avoided because he claimed that the supplier
must be making a large profit off the kit.

This is the kit someone organized as a group purchase through a Viper club
in Florida about a year ago.  It puts out great light, oncoming drivers
don't flash at me, and if the supplier has an obscene profit margin built
into that $550 I really don't care.

The most difficult part of the install was figuring how and where to mount
the ballast units.  A temporary solution was called nylon tie wrap on top
of the ABS unit :-)
