I hear ya, Bob.
But then, when under boost, wouldn't the fuel/air
charge and resulting exhaust get pushed back through
said passage? This would contaminate the coolant,
making it smelly and oily. No?
One other sidebar... I just came back from the car,
where it has been siting unused for 2 hours. Today in
NE, it is only in the high 60's, yet when I unscrewed
the coolant reservoir cap, pressure was released (a
pretty good amount) to atmosphere. Although
completely unscientific, that would indicate that
coolant isn't seeping into the cylinders....At least
not at a rate to support the vast quantity of vapor
that billows from the tailpipe upon a cold start.
Funny thing is I couldnt see any type of coolant
lines running to the turbo, only oil lines....
Again thanks for any advice!
