[s-cars] headgasket failure

Ed, Bob, etc.-

My $0.02 that's fallen from the holes in my pocket, irretrievably into the
netherworld which exists within and around my Recaros...

Another obvious symptom of gasket failure would be compression of the
reservoir tank. Could be why you had so much pressure bleed after the car
sat for 2hrs? In my ///M5, I was pushing coolant through the overflow on
the reservoir, which had a small dump line to the ground under the wheel
well (I sold the car the next minute, OK, not really, soon after, heh heh,
for more than I'd paid for it 4 yrs. before and 50-HARD-k on it! Yes, I
sold cars at one point in my life, you learn the tricks of the trade...).

Just a thought, though you'd prob have seen a small drip / puddle under
there by now I'd think. Good luck Ed, and of course, do keep us posted.
