Hi Rob,
Welcome to the S-Car list, where opinons, facts,
fiction and intensity vary widely, but do make for an
active and informative part of S-Car ownership.
Without a doubt, this is an invaluable resource and
has been a vehicle to meet very interesting people!
see www-s-cars.org and www.urs4.com for great info.
Other links (I may not be giving proper credit for
here!) are listed on these sites.
Tires: All Season is bound to be considered a four
leter word here, so brace for impact. Practically,
there are climates where this is all you need.
Frankly it depends on where you drive and how you
drive that S4.
Popular opinion is 8 rims, 4 summer, 4 winter tires.
In NH, it is without question because winter can be
mean here. Some owners who track, will also have 4
race tires dedicated.
Summer:
Sumitomo, Toyo get favorable reviews because cost is
not prohibitive, Bridgestone, Michelin for higher end
preference.
I am patiently waiting for the Dunlop snow 'M3 which I
read about in Euroe last year. Not sure it will get
imported and need to seek that Deutsch magazine.
Search on tires for the past reviews.
