[s-cars] Shift knob

Hummers are pieces of $hit!
If you want a good off-road vehicle, buy a Rover or a Jeep... and do a nice
2.5" lift on it with either Old Man Emu or some other well respected setup.
I think the Rancho and Black Diamond setups are also quite popular on these
rigs. I've been driving a Land Rover Discovery for the last few days and
believe it or not, I don't miss the S-car as much as I thought.... And it
was pretty cool to drive straight through a roundabout the other day (up and
over the center divider)!
I really need a Jeep soon to cure my off-roading fix, which keeps getting
worse and worse. Attending a British car show and Land Rover club meet this
week didn't help things any either!
Please, I urge you to leave the Hummer dealer and never return. And, visit
a Land Rover Centre or your local Jeep dealer... check out the new Grand
Cherokee with Quadra-Trak AWD... it's quite an impressive system. Get a
practical sport ute with good road manners and capable off-road
characteristics and you will be happy... and at least you can actually park
them in a typical downtown parking stall (which happens to be about 3./4th
the size of a normal parking space). I sprained my ancle last year because
I was laughing at some idiot in downtown Bellevue TRYING to parallel park a
Hummer instead of looking where I was walking.
Confusious say: He who laughs last may also sprain ankle.
Later,
Dan
