Actually, one person (was it Linus?) brought up
993 non-turbo brakes- those are black and different
from the 993tt brakes- use a slightly smaller pad,
use a smaller rotor.

That's why it is important to differentiate by at least model
number rather than just calling them "black" or "red."

I hear what you're saying Igor, I didn't know that the 928GTS and
the 993tt use different caliper orientations.

No.
The reds (993tt) and the blacks (928gts) are the same dimensionally, but
one is a mirror of another. The reds: a direct bolt-on to an UrS. The
blacks: prior to before bolting onto the UrS do reverse the hard line
connecting the halves.
