Don't forget that with Porsche, if yous pays yous moneys yous gets
whatever yous wants.

For your technicolor viewing pleasure...

Black calipers were available on the 993tt as a no cost option. The
fiche shows no different part number! The 993 Turbo S's yellow calipers
do not show up as a different part number either. When I ordered a set
of Turbo S Yellows my parts guy had to stipulate the standard part
number and the fact that they were for the Turbo S (then he had to also
provide a Turbo S VIN). Go figure.

993 C4 calipers came in a light titanium (silver).

While at Werk 1 at the factory last month saw a 996tt with yellow 4
piston monblocs. These weren't supposed to exist. I took some digipics
as "evidence" and was ready to walk right into the parts department and
order up a set. Then looked at the other side of the car and lo &
behold... plain old garden variety reds. Hmmm?

Several vendors offer Monobloc calipers in yellow and blue, but I can't
find these on the fiche either (Performance Products or Tweaks offer 996
units, and Euro Car Service offers technicolor Boxster units). They
appear as factory.

In short, never say never.

Yes, part numbers would reduce some of the confusion, but providing
model year and internal model designation should suffice for our
purposes.
